Meet the Owner

Mr. Eric B. Walker, a native Nashvillian, is a graduate of Tennessee State University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He has attended the Barrett School of Banking–Commercial Lending Academy.

He began his career in retail banking in 1990 at the National Bank of Detroit, N.A in Detroit, Michigan. He was heavily recruited out of college for their management training program where he went on to hold numerous management positions and was appointed as an officer

of the bank.

Mr. Walker relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where he joined the First American National Bank and was vice president in retail banking. He managed two branch offices in the downtown Nashville area. Mr. Walker joined Citizens Savings Bank as a commercial lender where he was responsible for business development and faith-based lending.

Mr. Walker served as president of Equity Plus Mortgage Company for 12 years, a premier residential mortgage company. Mr. Walker owned and operated The Walker Group, a property management company that managed over 250 residential properties and owned over

50 properties.

He currently serves as president of the Equity Plus Mortgage Inc., a leading mortgage broker firm. Mr. Walker also owns and operates the Church Funding Group, Inc. where he consults with churches nationwide to assist them in achieving their financial goals.

Throughout his 29 years in the financial services industry, he was involved in areas such as business development, commercial lending, residential mortgage lending, consumer lending, retail banking, and faith-based lending. For 4 years, he was the president for the state of Tennessee on the board of the Tennessee Association of Mortgage Brokers. He was also president of the Nashville Urban Bankers Association.

Mr. Walker is a lifetime member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and has served as Basileus of the Nashville, Tennessee graduate chapter. Mr. Walker was also the membership selection chairman for the fifth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the chairman of the Gamma Phi Housing Authority Inc.
